NEW ORLEANS — The USTFCCCA is currently modernizing the TFRI (Track & Field Rating Index), which has served as the benchmark for objective team rankings in collegiate indoor and outdoor track and field since 2008.
In an effort to enhance both the accessibility and timeliness of the rankings, full TFRI rankings will now be released every Tuesday at 10 a.m. Eastern Time for each division. These designated “checkpoints” will ensure consistency and enable us to broaden the functionality of our TFRI products in the future.
Furthermore, the USTFCCCA will soon be introducing “Live” TFRI updates. These live updates will be intermittently posted on the USTFCCCA website throughout the week as AthleticNET receives and processes new results. The live updates, with additional data refreshes on weekend mornings and evenings, will provide the most up-to-date rankings available. While the live updates will be the most current, the weekly “checkpoint” rankings will still be used for historical record-keeping and promotional purposes.
It is important to note that this “live” component of the TFRI is contingent upon the timely reporting of results to AthleticNET. For the Live TFRI to be as useful and relevant as possible, meet administrators are encouraged to upload results to AthleticNET as soon as possible or consider using the AthleticLIVE platform.
The USTFCCCA is actively collaborating with Athletic.net, the presenting sponsor of USTFCCCA polls and rankings, to further expand TFRI products, broaden their scope, and work towards making our ranking products as close to real-time as possible.
The TFRI rankings for each division, as they stand on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, are summarized below. More detailed information can be found by clicking on the links that are pointing to a specific division and gender.
