ORLANDO, Fla. – The Connecticut College men’s tennis team secured a 7-0 victory over Millsaps College on Wednesday morning.
The Camels took control early by winning two of three doubles matches to nab the first point of the contest. Conn then swept through singles without losing a set.
Walker Mulligan (Guilford, Conn.) led the charge with a pair of wins on the day. He teamed with Wolf Sohlberg (Espoo, Finland) for a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles before besting Sam Willard at No. 3 singles.
Arjun Premkumar (Bangalore, India) posted a win at No. 1 singles while Jules Taylor-Kerman (New York, N.Y.) picked up his first singles win of the spring at No. 2. Gavin Anderson (Avon, Conn.), James Serhant III (Hadley, Mass.) and Sigmund Winiecki (Jaffrey, N.H.) rounded out the rest of the singles winners and lost only three games between them.
Tucker Catalano (Duxbury, Mass.) made his collegiate debut and teamed with Krishh Tipnis (Thane, India) for Conn’s other doubles victory. The duo won by a 7-5 final against Willard and Sebastian Gonzalez.
Conn (5-4 overall) will next play Franklin & Marshall College on Thursday, March 13 at 8:00 a.m.
