Camels Earn Team and Individual ITA Academic Honors – Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recently announced the 2025 Division III Men’s and Women’s ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams, and Connecticut College was well represented among the honorees.

Both Conn College programs earned ITA All-Academic Team status by virtue of a team grade point average above 3.2 for the academic year. Under head coach Jakob Klaeson, the women’s team posted a GPA of 3.67 while the men’s team checked in at 3.72. 

A total of 22 Camels were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, an honor bestowed upon team members who attained a 3.5 GPA or higher for the academic year. Tara Best, Sana Bhat, Lily Dunne, Evin Cosar, Marylove Reynolds, Lily Kerachsky, Maya Kowalska, Mary Ella Prendergast and Kinley Yangden earned the distinction for the women’s team, while Jules Taylor-Kerman, Alexander Stevens, Krishh Tipnis, Maximo Gulla, Kalevi Kaukonen, Colby Hall, Arjun Premkumar, Nikhil Agarwal, James Serhant III, Sigmund Winiecki, Wolf Sohlberg, Tucker Catalano and Gavin Anderson were honored on men’s team.

Within the sport of tennis, student-athletes continue to exceed expectations in the classroom and on the court. In 2025, 1,269 Division III women’s student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 165 women’s tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction. On the men’s side, a total of 1,115 Division III student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 135 programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
