INDIANAPOLIS – The IU Indianapolis men’s soccer program and head coach Sid van Druenen have announced the signings of five student-athletes to join the program for the upcoming season. Included in the group is mid-year transfer Luke Kalavitz from Northwood University and graduate transfer Youri Keijser from Coker University. In addition, van Druenen announced the signings of three freshmen to National Lettters of Intent as well as Luke Correia, Jordin Jones and Shawn Seymour will join the Jaguars this fall. Both Kalavitz and Keijser come to the program with one season of eligibility remaining.
“I am excited to add these guys to our program,” van Druenen said. “We put a lot of work this offseason in strengthening areas of the team that we needed to be better at and I believe we have done just that with the group.”
Luke Correia – Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago / Fatima College
5-foot-8 / Midfielder
-Starred at Fatima College in the Secondary Schools Football League before playing senior club with AC Port of Spain
-Most recently joined NK Hašk 1903 in the Croatian Fourth Tier
-Played club soccer with City FC
-Helped his team to the 2024 NLCL National Champions

“Luke is a very technical and creative midfielder that comes to us from one of the best prep schools in Trinidad & Tobago. He has had a very successful career thus far and we are looking forward to see how that will translate in boosting our offensive production and chance creation.”
Jordin Jones – Greenfield, Ind. / Greenfield Central HS

-Participated with the Indy Eleven Academy U20 team at the 2024 USL Academy League Finals, helping them to the championship
-Played at Greenfield Central High School and played club with FC Pride Soccer Club
-Also ran track at Greenfield Central

Luke Kalavitz – Plainwell, Mich. / Plainwell HS (Northwood University)

-Played the past four seasons at Northwood, making 49 appearances and 38 starts
-Totaled two goals and two assists from his defensive post with both goals coming in a 4-2 win over Northern Michigan
-Three-time Academic All-G-MAC honoree

“Luke has been with us since January and has been a great fit. He is a strong 1-on-1 defender with vast experience at the Division 2 level. His winning mentality bleeds through in everything that he does and we have been very pleased with his first couple of weeks with us.”
Youri Keijser – Eindhoven, Netherlands / Rodenborch and Sint-Joris College (Coker University)
5-foot-7 / Midfielder
-Played the past three seasons at Coker University, totaling 50 games played and 36 starts
-Totaled seven goals and four assists at Coker, including a career-high four goals and four assists last season
-Helped Coker to a 15-3-1 mark and an NCAA D2 Nationals Sweet Sixteen appearance his junior season

“Youri is a creative midfielder with great vision and passing ability with experience at the highest level in the Netherlands. He has done very well at the D2 level and we are hoping he can have an immediate impact for us.”
