CHICHESTER 10km, inc BRITISH MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS, West Sussex, February 2
The British Masters championships was somewhat lost within this long-standing race that is now based at and finishes on, the Goodwood motor racing circuit.
First home overall was Sussex runner Jack Woods in 30:05, with Kevin Quinn, the best of the veterans and taking the M45 prize in second spot, with a 30:27 clocking.
Top M50 Adrian Mussett impressed with a 31:50 time but many of the older British Masters gave the event a miss.
For the women, it was 2024 BUCS short-course cross-country champion Charlotte Alexander who topped the timing boards, in 34:07 as second placed Lauren Reed, who ran 2:38:02 in last year’s London Marathon, the top W40, with 34:28.
