SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men’s basketball team had little trouble in today’s 75-43 victory at Skidmore.
PJ Scalisi and Andrew Deppe finished with 14 points in the win for RPI. Scalisi shot 5-of8 from the floor, including three males from behind the arc, while Deppe also logged nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Dylan Matchett tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals alongside Avery Eugster’s 11 points and two blocks. Pat White contributed nine points as well.
RPI sprinted ahead by 15 points courtesy of a balanced first half scoring effort that featured five different Engineers net at least five points.
The hot shooting continued past halftime for RPI, as the Engineers made 50 percent (14-of-28) of their shots in the final 20 minutes.
Winners of five in a row, RPI travels to Union for 7:30 pm meeting on Friday.
