WBC heavyweight champion Shields defends her belt against Perkins with the vacant WBA, IBF and WBO belts also on the line.
Shields (15-0, 3 KOs), Uncrowned’s No. 1 pound-for-pound women’s boxer in the world, is a five-division champion and former two-division undisputed champion, having held the undisputed super welterweight crown in 2021 and the undisputed middleweight title twice between 2019 and 2024. Shields won the WBC heavyweight title with a second-round knockout of Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse this past July.
Perkins (5-0, 2 KOs) has never been scheduled for more than eight rounds and comes into the bout as far less experienced than her championship opponent. Perkins boxed on the undercard of Shields’ fight with Lepage-Joanisse, winning a wide unanimous decision over Christianne Fahey.
Heavyweight prospects Brandon Moore (16-1, 10 KOs) and Skylar Lacy (8-0-2, 6 KOs) clash on the undercard in a bout scheduled for 10 rounds. Moore recently teamed up with Dmitry Salita’s Salita Promotions, which is promoting Sunday’s card and has a long-standing relationship with Shields.
Shields vs. Perkins begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on DAZN, with main event ring walks expected at around 11:00 p.m. ET.

Veyre is boxing with a smile on her face in the fifth, she is really enjoying herself in there.
Right hand from Veyre knocks Vargas’ head back early in the fifth. Vargas’ face is getting redder and redder as she is subject to more punishment from Veyre.
Veyre finding a home for the 1-2 in this round. She moves laterally to create distance and dishes out a sharp 1-2, forcing Vargas to reset. If Vargas moved her head, she wouldn’t have been caught with the same punches so easily.
Another right cross from Veyre to close out round five.

Caroline Veyre vs. Carmen Vargas – Round 4
Vargas realises how far behind she must be on the scorecards as we enter the second half of this one, and starts to force the pace in the fourth. Veyre uses it to her advantage, though, taking the opportunity to display a masterclass in power boxing, particularly with counterpunches.
Vargas had some success in the fourth with bodywork and attacks while they were up close; she needs to keep the fight at that range for the remainder of the rounds, as there’s only one winner at long range.

Wide 1-2 from Veyre lands early in the third. She lands again with the right hand, and a right hook seconds later.
Great lateral movement from Veyre, which is proving to be a major problem for Vargas. Vargas’ feet just aren’t quick enough to pin Veyre down and let her own punches rip.
Veyre catches Vargas with a combination as she attempts to break the distance. Tremendous performance from Veyre through 3 rounds. Vargas’ face is a bloody mess. Veyre is dishing out some serious punishment.

Caroline Veyre vs. Carmen Vargas – Round 2
Strong second round for Veyre!
She doubled up on the left hook early as Vargas attempted to close the gap, but her feet weren’t quick enough to land on Veyre.
Good right hand to the body placed from Veyre. Body shots will be successful for the French-Canadian as Vargas fights like a traditional pressure fighter with a high guard.
Two-punch combination, a reverse 1-2, catches Vargas as she enters punching range without letting her own hands go. The left hand seemed to have an impact on Vargas’ right eye; she paws at it numerous times in the remainder of the round.

Caroline Veyre vs. Carmen Vargas – Round 1
Veyre boxing on the back foot early in this one, but Vargas hasn’t really made a sustained effort to close the distance, allowing Veyre to dominate the opener with her sharp left hand.
Veyre circles the ring as Vargas follows her around and catches a left hook for her troubles. Vargas needs to throw to the body and move her head if she hopes to have any success against a sharpshooting Olympic boxer like Veyre.

Lozada off to a winning start in the pro ranks!
2024 Olympian Ashleyann Lozada is successful in her professional debut as she wins a shutout 40-36 x3 unanimous decision over the previously unbeaten Denise Moran.
Ashleyann Lozada vs. Denise Moran – Round 4
Lozada “pot-shotting” with sharp single shots to the head and the body for the majority of the first minute.
A left uppercut hurts Moran again. It was the same punch that Lozada had success with in the third. Lozada is starting to put her punches together now in the second minute of the third with three-punch combinations.
Moran is simply outgunned and on the wrong end of hurtful four rounds against the Puerto Rican Olympian. Stellar debut from Lozada.
10-9 Lozada. Final score: 40-36 Lozada.
Ashleyann Lozada vs. Denise Moran – Round 3
Lozada pushes back Moran with a left uppercut towards the end of the first minute.
A combination from Lozada gets through, the left hand splits the guard, with the right uppercut partially blocked.
Left uppercut STAGGERS Moran in the final 30 seconds of round 3. Moran is rocked, and Lozada goes in for the finish. Strong right hook from Lozada in the midst of a flurry as Moran retreats to the ropes for cover. She will be saved by the bell!

Ashleyann Lozada vs. Denise Moran – Round 2
Lozada is starting to box loosely now in the second round, she clearly feels comfortable with the power and ability of Moran.
The long, southpaw back hand has been her best punch in this round. Lozada lets it go with her hands down just on the edge of punching range, so Moran doesn’t see it coming and it has maximum impact on Moran.
Moran starting to attack the torso area of Lozada, but it’s another dominant spell for the Puerto Rican.
Hard left hand connected for Lozada at the end of the second round.

Ashleyann Lozada vs. Denise Moran – Round 1
Fast start to this one!
Lozada is looking for the check right hook early in this one as she towers over Moran in the southpaw stance. Moran attempts to close the distance with a long right hand, Lozada counters with a right hook.
As the pair get closer to centre ring, they began to exchange in combinations. Loazada is the sharper women and appears to have more weight behind her punches.
