Manchester United are exploring a loan deal for Chelsea playmaker Christopher Nkunku before the transfer deadline, according to Sky Sports.
The Frenchman has been a fringe player for the Blues in the Premier League and he is open to pursuing a new challenge away from the London giants.
United have joined the race for his services, but Sky Sports claim that they can only afford a loan deal due to their financial situation at the moment.
The club are currently in the transfer market for a new left wing-back. The hierarchy are expected to spend most of the budget on that department.
As a result, they can’t afford a marquee forward on a permanent basis.
Chelsea have set a huge price tag of €70 million for Nkunku, but it is highly unlikely that any European club will meet their asking price this winter.
Bayern Munich were linked with his services earlier in the transfer window, but they have decided to stick with the same squad for the season.
