Russell Martin Must Leave Glasgow Rangers

Russell Martin please just leave as you’re out your depth. I blame you, but also those above you; and the players to a degree, but ultimately you just don’t have what it takes to lead Glasgow Rangers Football Club. You aren’t a strong enough character, and for being here as a player, you just don’t get it at all.

We all knew there would be turbulence in the beginning. Replacing managers, ideals, playing staff and Board changes will absolutely have an effect on our results. Saying that though, no matter what, we should not be sitting 10th in the League!

But look IMO, you failed by trying to cram work that could take 6 months to 1 year into 6 weeks.

You failed by mishandling players on a human level.

You failed to understand the requirements of this institution, whether it’s in a state of flux or not.

You failed by forgetting to steady the foundations before building your temple, for lack of a better analagy.

Now it’s come crashing down around you. You just can’t start building again or the process repeats.

The players imo need to do better. Granted they had too much information rammed into their heads. They are too focused on carrying out your instructions that they are not expressing themselves. They have no trust in you, no trust in each other. This is where your core group have let you down.

But this ‘anxiety’ is coming from YOU and the workload YOU have put on the players. You have destroyed all confidence. Then when one player has a voice, instead of giving him and the squad a chance to speak, you nail him to the cross and drop him for one of the biggest games of the season!?! – Our best player.

If you hadn’t lost the dressing room already, after that you definitely did. Nico Raskin is well loved here by fans and the playing staff. And for you to drop him the way you did, just for speaking for the group, which TAV should be doing BTW that was a huge mistake.

Now we have a situation where the fans don’t trust the team and manager. The team don’t trust the manager and staff or each other. And fingers now are being pointed at this new Board. We have all this mistrust and anxiety and the most important parts of the club instead of uniting, we have almost completely fractured. All this in under 3 months – wow mate that takes some doing.

Please Board, Mr Cavanagh and Mr Marathe understand this has failed and action must be taken. We get the hiring and firing must stop. We get that sometimes a little bit of allowance must be made for certain circumstances, but look what you’re doing to OUR club by keeping him in charge.

Get him gone or you lot can go too. This is what will happen, the fans will turn on you lot as well. Guaranteed because we love our Club too much to watch our traditions and standards drop so far down. You must see that we are a laughing stock in Scotland and Europe.

This MUST NOT continue. Do the right thing. Russell Martin and those in charge of his selection and interview process must be sacked with immediate effect.
